Sales Development Representative

Visitu is hiring 5 positions – Regional Sales – Lower 48 states

Visitu seeks an energetic, enthusiastic, well-organized team player to become a key member of our sales team. This individual will spend much of the day on the phone, making outbound calls to prospects and answering inbound calls from the same.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience with a variety of customer service platforms
  • Zendesk experience a huge plus
  • Live chat, inbound and outbound customer service and support, or sales experience in a call center environment preferred
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Able to resolve difficult customer challenges
  • Positive, customer-first mentality
Primary Responsibilities
  • Generate new business sales leads through a mixture of cold calling, following up marketing campaigns, and following up on inbound enquiries
  • You will grow the campus user base through lead generation, referrals, and establishing/maintaining relationships through the schools
  • Educate school administrators on how Visitu is revolutionizing school security in education institutions and show the value of using our platform
  • Run demonstrations of Visitu via screen sharing software and possibly in-person
  • Work with existing clients to both grow their accounts and find referrals
  • Schedule meetings with target accounts
  • Manage inbound leads process
  • Outbound calls to targeted accounts
  • Contacts regular and prospective customers to solicit orders
  • Answers questions about product and prices. Prepares proposals to meet the specific needs of customers
  • Understand Visitu’s offerings and effectively communicate and apply them to each prospect’s needs
  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain daily activity and prospect information into CRM database, including comprehensive and up-to-date client information
  • Achieve and exceed monthly quotas and objectives
  • Work closely with sales and marketing team members to achieve organizational goals
  • Provide continual input to the sales and marketing organizations in order to refine positioning and adapt to new market opportunities
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Highly motivated, energetic and have unparalleled interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous cold-calling experience in an outbound sales environment (or are incredibly eager to learn!)
  • Detail-oriented and a self-starter
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of web, education, and SaaS technologies
  • Record of accomplishment and achievement in academic and/or professional areas
  • Exhibits qualities of cooperation, adaptability and flexibility as changes occur in the department and maintains a positive attitude
  • Demonstrable, consistent, over-achievement of those targets
  • An innate hunger for personal and company success combined with a great personality
